Ergonomics
Your health
Research shows that an ergonomically designed workstation can improve body posture and reduce musculo-skeletal aches and pains.
Whether using a desktop PC or a laptop, the same ergonomic rules apply:

bulletKeep your screen directly in front of you.
bulletAdjust screen so that it is level with your eyes
bulletPosition screen approximately an arm's length away.
bulletPosition keyboard and mouse so that your forearms are horizontal.
bulletSit upright with your feet and back supported.

The fully adjustable Ergo-desk offers a great opportunity to achieve an ergonomic posture with laptop or PC.

Legislation
The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 implement an EC Directive and came into effect from January 1993 (some small changes were made in 2002). The Regulations require employers to minimise the risks in VDU work by ensuring workplaces and jobs are well designed. This includes home workers and laptop users habitually using a VDU for a significant part of your normal work.

Combined with an adjustable chair in a suitable working environment, the Ergo-desk can offer an alternative to conventional desking and provides cost-effective, space efficient compliance with the regulations.
